Latest WIPS and .dxf

Okay, I've touched up the head some more. I'll start on the lashes, brows and hair next. I'll send the .dxf to your morphic email.
Here's one from Resistance: Fall of Man. A bit more militaristic, but easily adaptable to the adventurer costume.

Solid Snake

If you want a chick with guns, why not a female version of solid snake.

I did a quick sketch in my last picture update.

Here's something else I came across along the same vein. Never heard of the game though.

http://gamuzagaleria.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_gamuzagaleria_archive.html

Check out this gallery for some colorful images of Tokyo youth culture. All come from this popular magazine called Fruits and represents just one of the myriad of fashion tribes of that bustling metropolis. Fashion trends come and go with the speed of thought there, yesterday it was the rockabillies, today it is the yamamba kogyaru, and tomorrow who knows? And if you're a big fan of the kimono, go to Japan during the Seijin no hiki (coming of youth day). While I don't see this character dressing so extreme, it is a scene I find fascinating.

Okay, here is the first WIP shot. I've got the base down and just need to refine it some more. Still need to fix up a fair bit but it's a start. Will work on the eyes (including lashes and eyebrows) and hair after that.

Steampunk

In our discussions yesterday I was trying to refer to the term 'steampunk', but I think I am incorrect in my definition. I was really thinking more of an 'alternate reality' than true steampunk, but incorporating certain steampunk elements may be interesting.
..........................

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction which came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in (or strongly inspired by—see fantasy-world steampunk below) an era when steam power was still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often set in Victorian England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. It is often associated with cyberpunk and shares a similar fanbase but developed as a separate movement (though with considerable influence on each other). Their main difference beyond the chronological differences in settings is that Steampunk settings tend to be less obviously dystopian...

...Although originally conceived as being Victorian-era science fiction only, the term has become common use for many related forms of speculative fiction set in the pre-Electric age era.
There are two main sub-genres of steampunk: historical steampunk and fantasy-world steampunk. Historical steampunk tends to be more "science fictional": presenting an alternate history, presenting real locales and persons from history with different technology. Fantasy-world steampunk, on the other hand, presents steampunk in a completely imaginary fantasy realm, often populated by legendary creatures coexisting with steam-era or anachronistic technologies.

Character Concept

Okay, here is my concept. I'll provide a base framework and let's see where we get.
-female aged from mid 20's to early 30's
-exotic looking - mixed background with euro-asiatic features
-facial details
- long platinum blonde hair, naturally wavy
- pale green eyes
- light tan skin with freckles
- full lips
- straight nose
- oval head shape
- high cheek bones
- square angular jaw with round chin
-physique
- 5'7" to 5'9" tall
- athletic, hour glass figure
- slender but not waifish
- B to C cup breast size
- strong legs (thighs and calves)
-occupation
- mountaineer, explorer
- think Tomb Raider/Lara Croft type

That's it for now. It's fairly loose regarding her attire and equipment so we can work with that as this progresses.

I'm in!

Did you check out www.machinima.org and www.machinima.com ? That's where I think we should go with this.
